The EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) Now Applies: What to Do in Romania
Since 12 August 2026, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation applies directly in Romania, replacing the rules based on the 1994 Packaging Directive. Some obligations already bite, while the main design requirements are phased in from 2028 and 2030.

ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management Systems in Practice
ISO 37001 sets out requirements for an anti-bribery management system that can be independently certified. The second edition, published in 2025, has replaced the 2016 version, with a transition period for certified organizations ending in early 2027.

NIS2 in Romania: Cybersecurity Obligations for Companies
Romania transposed the NIS2 Directive through Government Emergency Ordinance no. 155/2024, approved with amendments by Law no. 124/2025, with the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) as competent authority. Covered companies must register, manage cyber risks, report significant incidents and involve their management bodies directly.
